The Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo Expo2020 Dubai closed its door on March 31 after 6 months of a dazzling and ambitious business program. During this Mega Event, the LTIO Abu Dhabi worked hand in hand with several key stakeholders in Luxembourg and in the UAE to take advantage of the huge potential for Luxembourg businesses in the UAE.

As the first World Expo held in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asian region and the first event of its size and scale to be held since the start of the global pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai marked a major success for Dubai with more than 24 million visits since its opening on October 1st, 2021.

The visit of HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg together with the minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn represented the culmination of all the official delegations from Luxembourg that visited the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo2020. During his visit, HRH the Grand Duke had the opportunity to meet representatives of the UAE at the highest level and to witness the recent opening of the Museum of the Future, one of the many ambitious initiatives of the Dubai Future Foundation.

With the success of Dubai Expo2020, the UAE, and Dubai in particular, continue to stand out as a global financial and trade platform and a dynamic business destination for companies from Luxembourg.

The participation of the Grand Duchy to this World Expo with a remarkable pavilion and a rich business program organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, enabled to showcase Luxembourg innovative economy to the local ecosystems in different sectors such as ICT, Space, or Health Technologies to name a few.

Indeed, Innovation is in Luxembourg’s DNA, and the current Newsletter highlights some of the latest ambitious initiatives in the above-mentioned sectors, that makes the country attractive to foreign investors. Remarkably, Luxembourg will open a new Health Tech Campus dedicated to digital health and personalized medicine, thus positioning Luxembourg as a key player in Health Tech innovation in Europe.

Dubai Expo2020 was a great opportunity to confirm Luxembourg’s reputation as one of the most innovative and international EU country.
