The Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot announced recently the new roadmap: “Ons Wirtschaft vu Muer“, meaning “Our economy of tomorrow”, showcasing that a dynamic and sustainable economic development is at the heart of the policy pursued by the Luxembourg Government.

This audacious action plan for a “competitive and sustainable economy” lays out an economic strategy for the years to come. As per the Minister statement: “for the country to become more resilient in the future, we need to further accelerate both the green transition and the digital transformation of the Luxembourg economy. This double transition will play a key role in the diversification and modernization of our economy, and will support the circular economy.” Furthermore, the position of Luxembourg as a leader in sustainable finance with a well established Sustainable Finance Strategy is also supporting the green economy and therefore completes this new roadmap.

Luxembourg is now the most trusted data economy in Europe. It is building on its expertise and its reputation as an innovative, reliable and safe country where data solutions are developed and tested in a secure environment with access to world-class technology. Digital technologies are crucial as they are implemented across all economic sectors and the trusted use of data is the foundation of a sustainable digital economy.
