Hello from Abu Dhabi, مرحبا من ابو ظبي,

Over the years, bilateral ties between Luxembourg and the GCC countries have gradually expanded. The focus is on the trade of goods and services, boosting FDI, and collaborating across sectors including ICT, health, logistics, and space. The UAE remain Luxembourg’s biggest trading partner in the region. Earlier this month an MOU between the stock exchanges of Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi has been signed. A start-up based in the UAE will participate in this year’s edition of ICT Spring in Luxembourg.

These examples show that there are numerous opportunities for the private sectors in both countries to engage with their counterparts.

Located at the heart of Europe, Luxembourg’s connectivity offers businesses a proven expansion ground and a European launchpad. The country is one of the easiest places in the world to do business with advanced infrastructure and enabling environment in place. There are a lot of opportunities for businesses and the LTIO in Abu Dhabi is there to establish contacts to start a business in Luxembourg.

From Abu Dhabi, the LTIO also helps Luxembourg companies to understand the market and pinpoint opportunities. The LTIO has seen numerous companies from Luxembourg establishing a presence in the UAE, big and small.

Given the Gulf’s dynamic investment environment, opportunities are multiplying for Luxembourg businesses in the field of cleantech, ICT and healthtech, among many others. The LTIO is there to help businesses better understand markets in Luxembourg and in the Gulf.

The LTIO in Abu Dhabi would like to express its warm wishes for Eid al-Adha and a happy holiday to you and your family.

Jean-Marie Frentz

Executive Director, LTIO Abu Dhabi
